Institute Scholarships
The Institute actively supports the educational development of insurance professionals in the Asia Pacific region through a number of academic awards scholarships. All of the Institute’s scholarships are established in partnership with insurance and financial services organisations who wish to take an active role in promoting professional excellence.

Peter Corrigan International Exchange Award
Available to ANZIIF Senior Associates and Fellows under 35, the Peter Corrigan International Exchange Award was introduced by Deloitte and the Institute to encourage talented young insurance professionals to develop leadership abilities and international business links in Australia, Asia, New Zealand and the South West Pacific. Each year two winners in the region share A$10,000 to support a program of work, research and cultural exchange.

Aon Re Scholarship
Aon Re Australia and the Institute recognise outstanding insurance professionals in the Australian and New Zealand financial services markets by each year supporting the attendance of the scholarship winner at the annual Aon Re Global Clients Reinsurance Seminar in London. The seminar provides an intensive program of study for insurance professionals to gain knowledge of the global and London reinsurance markets while developing important international business contacts to further their careers.

Benfield Link Scholarship
The Benfield-Link Scholarship was established by the Benfield Group in conjunction with the NZ-UK Link Foundation and the Institute. The biennial scholarship encourages educational links between New Zealand and the United Kingdom, recognising an outstanding New Zealand insurance professional who is also an Institute student. The scholarship winner develops an understanding of the London and global reinsurance markets, spending six weeks living and working in London hosted by Benfield’s London office.

TurksLegal Scholarship
The Institute is proud to announce the prestigious 2008. The ANZIIF TurksLegal Claims Scholarship is designed to support the educational and professional growth of ANZIIF’s members by providing a significant career development opportunity for claims professionals working in Australia rsquo;s general insurance industry.

The Scholarship winner is awarded with an overseas package valued up to $8,000 and includes registration to the 2009 Claims Conference & Insurance Services Expo (Sheraton Seattle & Washington Convention Centre in March 22-25, 2009, four nights accommodation valued up to $1,000, return economy travel valued up to $2,500 and $500 spending money.

Les Dobson Reinsurance Prize
Established by Helen Dobson, Benfield Group and the Institute, the Les Dobson Reinsurance Prize recognises the highest achieving New Zealand reinsurance student, who has obtained an overall mark of Distinction or High Distinction (70 or more). The winning student receives NZ$1,000 to assist with their studies.
